Gold prices today in Egypt jumped 16.43 Egyptian pounds ($1.02) per gram.
According to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad on Wednesday, the price of 21-carat gold, the most popular in the local market, reached 721.01 pounds, while 18-carat gold stood at 618 pounds.
The incres in local market was triggered by surge global in the prices of the yellow metal by $2 to $1,600 per ounce as a result of US-Iran tensions.
