France inks €15 million deal to provide Egypt with medical supplies amid coronavirus crisis
France has signed an agreement on Monday worth €15 million to enable Egypt to purchase medical supplies and protective equipment to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
Egyptian Health Minister Hala Zayed and French Ambassador to Egypt Stephane Romatet have signed the agreement, Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat announced in a statement on Monday.
The money will be provided to the Egyptian Health Ministry to purchase medical supplies and protective equipment needed to face the pandemic.
The agreement will see the French Development Agency (AFD) providing the funding given the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and international development partners, Al-Mashat said.
