Egypt extends payment period of building violation reconciliation fees

The Egyptian Cabinet decided to extend the period for submitting a request for reconciliations on building codes and fore paying the reconciliation fees for a month until the end of October, The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly said

About 1.4 million people have submitted requests for reconciliation over building violations, Madbouly added in press conference on Thursday.

He added that the government will announce all the conditions required for resuming construction works which have been suspended for six months, ending on 24 November, to protect workers from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
