Egypt’s stocks end higher, benchmark EGX 30 gains 0.45% on Wednesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index gaining 0.45 percent to 11,579 points backed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) increased 0.40 percent to 2,364 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped rose 0.57 percent to 14,163 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 went up 0.36 percent to 3,391 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 0.50 percent at 2,378 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 5.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($329.8 million) to close at 695.442 billion pounds on Wednesday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Wednesday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.8 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 617.159 million securities executed 54,577 transactions.
