Egypt receives 525,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine – ministry

Egypt received 525,000 doses of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine from Romania as part of a tripartite agreement between the two countries and the pharmaceutical company, the health ministry said.

The North African country have recently received millions of doses of Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccines.

More deliveries of these vaccines Egypt expects to receive this month as the health officials seeks to widen the rollout of the vaccination process, which started earlier this year.
