Egypt’s stocks close higher on Tuesday as benchmark EGX 30 surges 0.72%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index surging by 0.72 percent to 11,982 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) climbed by 1.4 percent to 2,201 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 advanced by 1.39 percent to 3,362 points.

The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth 4.941billion Egyptian pounds ($314.3 million), ending the trading at 771.761 billion pounds buoyed by local investors’ buying appetite.
