The Cairo Metro’s three lines resumed work after they were suspended this morning. This suspension came due to the Minister of Transport’s decision of engaging Abdallah Fawzy, Head Central Department, to fulfill the tasks of the Cairo Metro chairman, till electing new chairman through the general assembly.
Ibrahim El Sayyed, member of the assembly, asserted that the workers terminated their sit-in in the Cairo Metro’s 3 lines after issuing a decision of stepping aside Eng. Ali Hussein and appointing him as an advisory to the technical office in the ministry of transport.
The workers started their strike yesterday; calling for deposing Eng. Ali Hussein for his mismanagement, and hitting EGP 484 million losses, in addition to canceling some features for the workers.
