Egypt plans to build new eco-friendly building at Hurghada Airport

Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation aims to establish a new eco-friendly building at Hurghada International Airport that will accommodate seven million passengers, during a conference held to measure the environmental impact of the project, on Monday.

Ahmad Mansour, CEO of Egyptian Airports Company, said the company aims to expand the construction of environmentally-friendly buildings within local airports in the coming years, in order to rationalise the electricity consumption.

The company also aims to establish the Airport City, which includes the airport’s facilities, including a hotel in Hurghada International Airport along with a luxury area, as well as the implementation of a business service area, he added.
