Russia to host meeting on Gaza with Arab FMs on Tuesday
Russia is set to host a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday for Arab foreign ministers to discuss the situation in Gaza, the RIA news agency reported on Monday.
The meeting will held in presence of the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and foreign ministers from the Arab League and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
However, a Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman did not specify which countries would be attending the meeting in Moscow, RIA added.
Russia has previously enjoyed close relations with Israel, but it has struck a cautiously pro-Palestinian position since the outbreak of the attacks on Gaza.
It has also rebuked Israel for civilian casualties, and restated its long-standing support for a Palestinian state.
