Egypt’s exports reached $52.1 billion in the previous year, compared to $43.6 billion in 2021, an increase by 19.4 percent, said Annual bulletin of Foreign Trade 2022 published by CAPMAS on Sunday.
The country’s non-petroleum exports reached $35.5 billion in 2022 up by 9.0 percent from $32.6 billion dollars in 2021. While, total value of fuel exports rose by 50.1 percent to record $16.6 billion in 2022 up from $11.0 billion dollars in 2021.
The data also revealed that Egypt’s imports increased by 7.8 percent to record $96.2 billion in 2022, compared to $89.2 billion in 2021. It also added that Egypt’s non-petroleum imports reached $82.7 billion in 2022 up from $79.2 billion in 2021.
