UK FM to visit Egypt, this week over Gaza ceasefire talks
The British foreign minister David Cameron is set to visit Egypt and Jordan this week to discuss a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza, his office said on Wednesday.
This is Cameron’s second visit to the region and will be joined by Britain’s Minister of State for the Middle East Tariq Ahmad.
They will work on intensifying “efforts to secure the release of all hostages, step up aid to Gaza and end Hamas rocket attacks and threats against Israel.”
The FM is set to travel to Al Arish city in Egypt to check on the UK aid to Gaza and in Jordan he will meet his counterpart Ayman Safadi.
The Israeli attacks on Gaza killed more than 20,000 and injured more than 50,000 civilians.
