During Tuesday’s midday session, the Egyptian Exchange has posted gains of EGP 1.8 billion backed by the foreign buyers. The capital market has amounted to EGP 386.794 billion during Tuesday’s midday, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 12.36 p.m. Cairo time (10:36 GMT).
The EGX indices were green during midday.
The main index, EGX30 edged up by 0.89% to 5799.98 p. EGX20 rose by 0.82% to 6716.17 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.18% to 482.5 p. Price index EGX100 inched up by 0.34% to 815.34 p.
This was after trading in 146 listed securities; 39 declined, 170 advanced; while 37 keeping their previous levels.
During Tuesday’s midday session, the trading volume has reached 72.375 million securities worth EGP 181.684 million, exchanged 10.871 thousand transactions.
The EGX’s midday gains were backed by the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs’ buying transactions as they were net buyers seizing 9.88% and 6.28% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 20.444 million and EGP 5.420 million excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers seizing 83.85% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 25.864 million excluding the deals.
