The inclusion of Russia on the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) blacklist is still under discussion, according to Yury Chikhanchin, Head of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service.
He noted that Russia has been suspended from FATF activities, and the issue of imposing stricter sanctions has been raised for the seventh consecutive plenary session.
The next FATF meeting is scheduled for December, where new sanctions are expected to be nominated. Chikhanchin expressed confidence in maintaining Russia’s position through ongoing co-operation with relevant ministries and agencies.
