Egypt’s c. bank to auction EGP 65b in T-bills
The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered 65 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
The auction shall be in two tranches: 40 billion pounds for 91-day to be maturated on 22/10/2024, and 25 billion pounds for 273-day to be maturated on 22/04/2025, as per the statement.
Treasury bills are short-term government debt instruments with maturities ranging from three months to a year.
