Egypt, S. Arabia sign MoU to boost maritime transport cooperation

The Egyptian Ministry of Transport and Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Transport (GAT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the sidelines of the Global Logistics Forum 2024 to boost cooperation in maritime transport.

The agreement, signed by Egypt’s Minister of Transport, Kamel El Wazir, and Saudi Transport Minister, Saleh Al-Jasser, focuses on enhancing maritime operations, including yachts, ferries, and cruise ships.

Moreover, the agreement aims to streamline passenger movement, strengthen bilateral collaboration, and promote the use of technology and electronic platforms to support maritime tourism and related activities.
