EGX closes in red on Nov 4

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the red area on Monday, with main index, EGX30, falling 0.59 percent to 30,650.04 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 dropped by 0.34 to 3,172.36 points.

The SMEs index, EGX70 dipped by 0.04 per cent to 8,122.87 points
The EGX100 index lost 0.15 per cent to 11,320 points
Egypt’s capitalisation market reached 2,223,489,287,035 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 322,162,920 Egyptian pounds and 1,284,282,288 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net buyers with a total of 1,606,445,208 Egyptian pounds.

Top gainers

  1. Shares of Upper Egypt Flour Mills (UEFM.CA) shares went up by 16.40 per cent to close at 257.750 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of Lotus for Agricultural Investments and Development (LUTS.CA) shares rose by 14.25 per cent, closing at 0.449 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Housing & Development Bank (HDBK.CA) shares soared by 10.05 per cent, to close at 51.030 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. Shares of Gharbia Islamic Housing Development (GIHD.CA) shares went down by 5.19 per cent, closing at 25.400 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of National Housing for Professional Syndicates (NHPS.CA) shares fell by 3.97 to close at 64.050 Egyptian pounds.
  3. Shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool (GTWL.CA) shares dropped by 3.78 per cent to, closing at 24.970 Egyptian pounds.
