Egypt’s Treegas, Czech HPC ink €10m fibreglass LPG cylinder deal

Egypt’s Treegas signed two significant agreements to boost its production and export of fibreglass LPG cylinders, a lightweight and cost-effective alternative to steel.

In partnership with Czech firm HPC, Treegas will establish a manufacturing facility in the Sokhna Industrial Zone.

The €7 million first phase will produce 500,000 cylinders annually, creating 200 direct and 450 indirect jobs. A second phase will add €3 million in investments to produce gas pressure regulators, valves, and a filling station.

Treegas also signed a distribution agreement with Oman’s Muscat Gas to supply its products to Jordan and Gulf countries. These moves reinforce Treegas’ role as the region’s first specialised fibreglass LPG cylinder producer and support Egypt’s push for industrial localisation and export growth.
