Egypt PM explores tourism investments near Giza Plateau
Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, has spotlighted several prime plots of land near the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum as key opportunities for tourism development. During a meeting with tourism investors, officials explored ways to maximise the region’s potential and attract investments.
As part of the discussions, Nasser Fawzy, Head of the National Centre for Planning the Uses of State Lands (NCPSLU), presented a detailed review of vacant plots suitable for tourism projects. Furthermore, international consultancy firms have been invited to develop a comprehensive master plan for the area to ensure optimal utilisation of these resources.
In addition, the Governor of Giza, Adel El-Naggar emphasised the availability of several plots in the governorate’s investment zone. These plots, located close to the pyramids plateau and the Grans Egyptian Museum, are set to be offered to interested investors for tourism projects.
Moreover, Hossam El-Shaer, Chairman of the Tourism Chambers Federation, highlighted the anticipated surge in tourist arrivals following the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. He noted that efforts are underway to increase the number of hotel rooms to accommodate this demand.
Meanwhile, Ahmed El-Wassief Chairman of Wings Holding for Tourism Investment, outlined proposals for tourism and entertainment activities tailored to the expected influx of visitors.
Similarly, Bassel Sami Saad, Chairman of ALDAU Development, suggested managing the area as a private investment zone, complete with a master plan and an international promoter. This approach, he argued, would position the region as a world-class tourist destination and attract significant foreign investment.
