Egypt’s new state budget allocates 53 billion Egyptian pounds for the Takaful and Karama programme in the upcoming fiscal year 2025-25, a sharp increase from 40 billion Egyptian pounds in the previous year, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced at the weekly press conference.
The government has also significantly increased funding for health and education, prioritising these sectors.
Madbouly emphasised that the budget expansion reflects the state’s commitment to strengthening social protection and improving public services. The increased allocations aim to enhance living standards and ensure better access to healthcare and education across Egypt.
