Egypt’s GAFI, Mashreq Bank sign MoU to boost cooperation

Egypt’s General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) CEO Hossam Heiba signed a memorandum of understanding with CEO of Mashreq Egypt Bank Amr El Bahey to strengthen investment cooperation, as per a Cabinet statement.

Under the agreement, Mashreq Egypt will introduce its local and foreign clients to Egypt’s growing business opportunities, leveraging the country’s diversified economy, strategic location, large consumer market, and major national projects launched over the past decade.

The bank will also facilitate communication between GAFI and investors seeking to expand in Egypt, organising meetings with foreign clients interested in the market.

Meanwhile, GAFI will provide the bank with up-to-date information on investment opportunities, targeted sectors, and regulatory developments in line with Egypt’s economic strategy.
