Egypt’s Health Minister, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, and Tajikistan’s Ambassador to Egypt Parviz Mirzazoda discussed enhancing healthcare collaboration and expanding medical and pharmaceutical partnerships, a Cabinet statement said on Wednesday.
Abdel Ghaffar emphasised Egypt’s dedication to fostering cooperation with sisterly nations through sharing expertise and knowledge to tackle shared challenges and promote sustainable healthcare development.
He also reviewed Egypt’s recent advancements in the healthcare sector, particularly under the presidential initiatives launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide comprehensive and high-quality healthcare for all Egyptians.
The meeting discussed Egyptian pharmaceutical and vaccine manufacturing capabilities, reactivating cooperation between health ministries, product registration and supply, collaboration in pharmaceutical industries, and training exchange.
Abdel Ghaffar invited the ambassador to visit GYPTO Pharma and pharmaceutical factories in 6th of October City to showcase the latest technologies in pharmaceutical manufacturing, aiming to strengthen the partnership in this field.
Ambassador Parviz Mirzazadeh praised Egypt’s health sector achievements and expressed interest in benefiting from Egypt’s expertise. He also commended Egypt’s humanitarian aid to Palestinians and supported Egyptian efforts in Gaza.
