Spain’s trade deficit widened by 58 per cent year-on-year in the first two months of 2025, reaching €9.62 billion ($11.07 billion), the Economy Ministry said on Tuesday as per Reuters.
Imports rose 4.9 per cent to €71.37 billion, driven by higher demand for goods, while exports dipped 0.4 per cent to €61.75 billion.
The widening gap reflects continued pressure on Spain’s external trade balance amid global uncertainty and sluggish export performance.
