Egypt’s Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG) signed a 1.5 billion Omani riyals ($3.9 billion) agreement with Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning on Monday for two major real estate and tourism projects west of Muscat.

According to a statement by the Egyptian Cabinet, the deal was announced during the 20th Oman Real Estate Expo (OREX), where Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Sherif El-Sherbiny attended the signing ceremony.

Minister El-Sherbiny praised the Omani hospitality and said the expo provided a valuable platform to strengthen real estate cooperation between Egypt and Oman. He reaffirmed Egypt’s support for local companies operating in infrastructure and private-sector development across the region.

The conference also explored ways to improve real estate legislation, expand housing finance tools, promote sustainable urban planning, and boost public-private partnerships. PropTech and digital transformation in the housing sector were also key focus areas.
