Hong Kong’s external merchandise trade grew year-on-year by +14.7 per cent in April 2025 to $434,464 billion compared to $378,739 billion in April 2024, according to data from the Census and Statistics Department (C&SD) on Monday.
Meanwhile, the value of imports of merchandise trade increased by 15.8 per cent to $450,472 billion compared to $388,933 billion in April 2024.
On a monthly basis, external merchandise trade dropped by 4.6 per cent to $434,464 billion in April 2025 compared to $455,534 billion in March 2024.
Meanwhile, the value of imports of goods dropped by 10.1 per cent to $450.5 billion in April 2025, compared to $500,891 billion in April 2024.
