Egypt’s Minister of Health, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, met on Tuesday with Peter Oganesian, executive director of HP for the Middle East and Africa to discuss expanding cooperation in digital transformation and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the healthcare sector.
The meeting addressed joint efforts to train medical staff on advanced technologies through hospital-based workshops and collaboration with the Princess Fatma Academy for Vocational Training. The two sides also discussed HP’s participation in the upcoming Global Congress on Population, Health and Human Development as a platform to share technical expertise.
Abdel Ghaffar noted Egypt’s accelerating growth in the technology market, driven by a skilled workforce and ongoing hospital digitalisation. Oganesian welcomed prospects for deeper cooperation, describing Egypt as one of the most attractive markets in Africa and confirming plans for future visits to build on this partnership.
