Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up 0.17 per cent to 37,975.06 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 increased 0.24 per cent to 3,843.13 points.
- The EGX35-LV index advanced 0.05 per cent to 4,269.7 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 gained 0.20 per cent to 11,889.87 points.
- The EGX100 index rose 0.26 per cent to 15,642.28 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,730,339,133,263 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 622,017,451 pounds and 1,366,830,627 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with 1,988,848,078 pounds.
Top gainers on Monday
- Shares of South Cairo, Giza Mills, and Bakeries soared 20.00 per cent to 231.090 pounds a share.
- Shares of North Cairo Mills climbed 19.99 per cent to 123.870 pounds a share.
- Shares of El-Nile Co. for Pharmaceuticals and Chemical Industries jumped 13.13 per cent to 127.860 pounds a share.
Top losers on Monday
- Shares of Raya Customer Experience dived 13.23 per cent to 10.100 pounds a share.
- Shares of Development and Engineering Consultants sank 5.28 per cent to 79.720 pounds a share.
- Shares of Egyptian Gulf Marseilia for Real Estate Investment dropped 4.55 per cent to 4.410 pounds a share
