Egypt’s 10th of Ramadan City to host 1st Polish frozen food factory

Egypt’s General Authority for Investment (GAFI) CEO Hossam Heba witnessed on Monday the signing of a contract between El Sewedy Industrial Development and Polish company Fruitful. The project marks the first Polish investment in the company’s frozen food projects in 10th of Ramadan City.

The project spans approximately 8,000–8,853 square metres and will feature a state-of-the-art factory producing frozen foods using IQF and freeze-drying technologies. The facility is expected to reach a production capacity of 600 tons per month, or 7,200 tons annually, with the majority of output destined for export under international standards.

The initiative is projected to create more than 5,000 direct and indirect jobs across the value chain, including farms, food processing units, cold storage, and logistics, while transferring advanced technologies and technical expertise to improve production efficiency and the quality of agricultural and industrial products in Egypt.

Heba said the project reflects foreign investors’ confidence in Egypt’s investment climate and exemplifies the government-private sector partnership, highlighting GAFI’s role in facilitating procedures and offering incentives to attract high-value industrial investments and boost exports.
