Gold prices in Egypt fell on Thursday, tracking movements in international bullion markets and the local currency, according to official data.
By 18:02 p.m. Cairo time (16:02 GMT), the price of 24-carat gold had dropped by 240.00 Egyptian pounds, or 3.11 per cent, to 7,485.75 pounds per gram, compared with 7,725.75 pounds at the close on Wednesday.
Prices for other gold grades posted similar falls.
