Egypt sends 780 tons of food aid to Gaza ahead of Ramadan

Egypt’s Tahya Misr Fund, in partnership with Bait Al Zakat and Al-Sadaqat, has delivered a 52-truck convoy carrying 780 tons of food and essential supplies to the Gaza Strip, the fund said on Wednesday.

The humanitarian shipment, sent ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, aims to support Palestinian families facing hardship amid ongoing challenges in the territory. Tamer Abdel Fattah, chairman of Tahya Misr Fund, said the timing underscores Egypt’s commitment to providing sustained aid and reflects ongoing coordination to ensure relief reaches those in need.

Bait Al Zakat’s Sheikh Abdel Aleem Qeshta called the convoy “a concrete message of solidarity from the Egyptian people” and reaffirmed that Egypt would continue supporting Gaza during times of need.

Both organisations said the effort reflects close collaboration under Egypt’s broader humanitarian framework and pledged to continue relief operations to address urgent needs until conditions in Gaza improve.
