The US dollar edged slightly higher against the Egyptian pound in midday trading on Sunday, averaging about 52.57 pounds for buying and 52.67 pounds for selling across major banks as of 11:51 a.m. Cairo time (09:51 GMT).
Data from leading lenders showed the greenback trading within a relatively narrow range of 52.56–52.62 pounds for buying and 52.66–52.72 pounds for selling, indicating broadly steady demand for foreign currency in the local market.
