Egypt’s Prime Minister inaugurates $2.5m New Sefloon aluminium, cookware factory in Sokhna
Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly inaugurated the NEW SEFLOON factory for aluminium products and cookware, with investments amounting to $2.5 million. The factory is built on a 5,680-square-metre site, provides 45 jobs, and has an annual production capacity of 120,000 pieces.
The inauguration took place on Thursday during Madbouly’s tour of the Sokhna Industrial Zone. Madbouly said the factory’s products support the tourism sector’s needs, particularly amid ongoing plans to double the number of hotel rooms, adding that the government is working to strengthen the “Made in Egypt” brand through high-quality products at competitive prices.
He added that the government supports the expansion of such projects as they contribute to import substitution, help save foreign currency, and open wider opportunities for exports to regional and international markets. He also noted that cookware produced by the factory aligns with the requirements of the tourism sector in light of the planned expansion in hotel capacity.
During the visit, Madbouly inspected production lines, including sandblasting and polishing, spraying lines, as well as warehouses for raw materials, spare parts, paints, and finished products.
