Egypt allocates 4,317 feddans Near Ras El-Hekma for industrial, logistics development
Egypt’s Cabinet approved on Wednesday the allocation of 4,317.1 feddans of state-owned land south of Ras El Hekma on the Mediterranean coast to support new industrial, service, and logistics projects.
The decision was approved during the government’s 94th Cabinet meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.
Under the measure, the land will be transferred to the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) for the development of various industrial, service, and logistics activities.
The allocation comes as Egypt seeks to expand its industrial base, attract private-sector investment, and capitalise on growing development momentum along the country’s northwestern coast, particularly following major investment agreements linked to the Ras El Hekma area.
The government has increasingly focused on integrating industrial and logistics infrastructure with large-scale urban and tourism developments to support economic growth, job creation, and export-oriented industries.
