Egypt’s Cabinet greenlights Economic Entities Platform

Egypt’s Cabinet has approved the launch of a new digital “Economic Entities Platform” aimed at simplifying business procedures, improving investor services, and tightening integration across government agencies.

The decision was taken during the 96th Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.

The platform is part of the government’s broader digital transformation drive led by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).

It is designed to overhaul and unify procedures for establishing and operating businesses, while offering investors a single digital gateway to government services. The system will rely on process re-engineering, a unified digital interface, centralised hosting infrastructure, and a coordinated technical framework across agencies.

The government said the initiative is intended to reduce bureaucracy, improve service efficiency, and strengthen coordination between state bodies, with the broader goal of enhancing Egypt’s investment climate.

The platform is expected to support efforts to boost the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy as it accelerates its digital transformation agenda.
