The Egyptian pound was broadly unchanged against the US dollar in midday trading on Monday, extending a period of stability in the foreign-exchange market amid steady hard-currency liquidity and improving investor sentiment.
The US dollar traded at an average of 48.84 Egyptian pounds for buying and 48.94 pounds for selling across five major banks as of 13:18 local time (10:18 GMT), according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.
