The United States accounted for 5.2 per cent of Egypt’s total exports in 2025.
Ready-made garments remained Egypt’s largest export to the US market, generating $1.3 billion, or 48.7 per cent of Egypt’s exports to the United States. Exports of ready-made garments rose 11.4 per cent from $1.2 billion in 2024.
Egypt’s imports from the United States climbed 70.6% to $13.0 billion from $7.6 billion a year earlier, accounting for 12.6% of the country’s total imports.
The rise was driven mainly by imports of mineral fuels, mineral oils, and products of their distillation, which more than doubled to $7.8 billion from $3.3 billion in 2024. The category accounted for 59.7 per cent of Egypt’s imports from the United States, according to CAPMAS.
