Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.18 per cent to 53,729.97 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 advanced by 0.16 per cent to 6,057.05 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 0.39 per cent to 6,361.8 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.97 per cent to 18,300.85 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped by 0.62 per cent to 24,133.04 points.
The total market cap reached 3,958,635,937,437 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers, with a total of 10,325,411,397 pounds and 843,195,269 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 11,168,606,665 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline went up by 16.60 per cent to 166.500 pounds a share.
- The shares of Arab Moltaka Investments Co rose by 7.60 per cent to close at 11.190 pounds a share.
- The shares of Sinai Cement jumped by 6.90 per cent, closing at 86.610 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development dropped by 6.53 per cent to 1.860 pounds a share.
- The shares of Elsaeed Contracting& Real Estate Investment Company SCCD fell by 5.86 per cent to close at 2.410 pounds a share.
- The shares of El Nasr Clothes & Textiles (Kabo) sank by 4.87 per cent, closing at 8.200 pounds a share.
