The Egyptian pound was little changed against the US dollar in midday trading on Thursday, amid continued stability across Egypt’s major banks.
The US dollar traded at an average of EGP 50.22 for buying and EGP 50.32 for selling across five major banks, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English.
| Bank | Buy (EGP/USD) | Sell (EGP/USD) |
| National Bank of Egypt (NBE) | 50.21 | 50.31 |
| Banque Misr | 50.17 | 50.27 |
| Commercial International Bank (CIB) | 50.25 | 50.35 |
| QNB Alahli | 50.2000 | 50.3000 |
| Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) | 50.2500 | 50.3500 |
The pound has traded within a narrow range against the dollar in recent weeks, reflecting improved foreign-currency liquidity and broadly stable conditions in Egypt’s foreign exchange market.
