EGX closes in green zone on 6 Sept

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green zone on Sunday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.72 per cent, to 56,676.16 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, rose by 1.28 per cent to 6,723.16 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV soared by 1.65 per cent to 7,113.5 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, climbed by 1.48 per cent to 21,618.27 points.
  • The EGX100 index jumped by 1.13 per cent to 28,213.87 points.

The total market cap reached 4,452,996,778,603 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 38,123,355 Egyptian pounds and 255,140,537 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 293,263,892 pounds.

Top gainers

  1. The shares of Sabaa International Company for Pharmaceutical and Chemical surged by 20.00 per cent, closing at 6.300 Egyptian pounds per share.
  2. The shares of Tanmiya for Real Estate Investment rose by 20.00 per cent, reaching 6.480 Egyptian pounds per share.
  3. The shares of The Arab Ceramic CO.- Ceramica Remas went up by 20.00 per cent to close at 1.800 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top losers

  1. The shares of TransOceans Tours went down by 13.58 per cent to close at 0.070 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Alexandria New Medical Center dropped by 11.16 per cent to close at 77.290 per cent a share.
  3. The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills dropped by 7.57 per cent, to close at 157.180 Egyptian pounds a share.
