Egypt’s PM opens $4m VIVATURF factory in SCZONE

Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly today inaugurated the VIVATURF Artificial Grass Egypt factory in the integrated Sokhna Industrial Zone, with investments of $4 million.

The factory, located within the development area of industrial developer Teda, covers 8,000 square metres and has an annual production capacity of up to 3 million square metres of artificial grass. The project is expected to create around 140 jobs, including 120 direct and 20 indirect positions.

VIVATURF, established in 2008, exports its products to stadiums worldwide and has two production bases and two research and development centres globally. The company has an annual production capacity of around 50,000 tonnes of grass fibres and 30 million square metres of artificial grass.

The company also operates an integrated production chain covering research and development, manufacturing and installation. It has introduced an artificial grass recycling process, which it described as a new mechanism in the industry.
