Egypt’s bourse extended its rally for the third session of this week posting closing gains totaled EGP 1.8 billion backed by local and Arab net buyers. Accordingly, the benchmark index has steadied at the level of 5680 pts on Tuesday.
The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in mixed notes during the closing session of Tuesday.
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 ended 0.59 per cent higher to 5680.65 pts, and the EGX20 also finished 0.47 per cent up to 6635.84 pts.
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 fell by 0.27 per cent to conclude at 482.39 pts. The price index EGX100 also dropped by 0.24 per cent to close at 807.76 pts.
The capital market has closed at EGP 378.815 billion on Tuesday.
Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Tuesday, the trading volume has reached 138.499 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 518.444 million, exchanged through 26.475 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 176 listed securities have been traded in; 88 declined, 56 advanced; while 32 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activity
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 82.9% and 5.5% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 6.434 million and EGP 5.569 million, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 11.6% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 12.004 million, excluding the deals.
