Greek Investments In Cairo Worth USD 500 Million

Head of the Egyptian side to the Egyptian- Greek Business Council Hani Birzi said that there are many projects for businessmen from both countries especially in the fields of new and renewable energy and vocational education, financial services and agricultural and tourist projects.

He said that the recent visit of Interim President Adly Mansour to Greece has boosted ties between the two countries especially after Greece has taken over the presidency of the European Union.

He added that the Council discussed during its last meeting in Cairo means of exchanging expertise between the two countries, in addition to presenting a detailed report about investment opportunities in Egypt during the upcoming period.

“The Greek investments in Egypt stand at USD 500 million,” Birzi said, adding that such investments can be increased after implementing all steps of the road map.
