The EGX has lost L.E 2.6 billion on Wednesday’s closing trading session from its market capital to reached L.E366.253 billion.
EGX30 has witnessed for a further session in a row a slide of %1.24 to close at 5003p. EGX20 has also witnessed a slide of %.062 to close at 5862.44p, while, EGX70 has witnessed a rise of %0.91 to close at 492.60p. EGX100 has managed to go up %1.06 to close at 820.73p.
The market has recorded an amount of trading valued at L.E654.342 million through 211.903 million shares in 44.391thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 184 listed securities; the price of 78 rose and of 91 diminished while the price of the rest (15 securities) remained fixed.
The EGX30’s slide was due to foreign and Arab investors’ purchasing activity as foreigners attained %11.85 out of the total market with a net sale amounted to L.E21.309 million. Arabs had attained %4.29 out of the total market with a net sale of L.E13.597 million.
On the other hand, Egyptians have made up of the purchasing activity %83.85 out of the total market. The difference between Egyptians’ activities of purchasing and selling has been recorded as L.E34.907 million.
Elsewhere, all the institutions listing in the market have inclined towards the selling activities as the net sales of the foreigners’ institutions have amounted to L.E18.6 million, of the Egyptians’ valued at L.E42.715 million and of the Arabs’ reached L.E4.886 million.
The leading shares witnessed a slide was headed up by Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT) which went down by %6.33 to close at 1.48 EGP. Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE) has come next for witnessing a slide of %2.14 to close at 4.11EGP. Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC) had also encountered a slide of 1.49% to close at L.E253.99. The Commercial International Bank- Egypt (COMI) has recorded a slide of %1.63 to close at L.E23.59; The EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) has also witnessed a slide of %2.79 to close at L.E12.53.
