Online phone service Skype has made its official debut on Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform.
Both Microsoft and Skype have breakdowns of the app, which has been available in beta form following its reveal at February’s Mobile World Congress.
Among the features available in the Windows’ version of Skype: video calls from portrait mode, the ability to join audio conference calls, and call-in-progress notifications.
Users must have a smartphone running the Windows Phone 7.5 operating system. Here are the Windows Phone that Skype says have been “tested and certified” to run the app: Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia 900, HTC Titan, HTC Radar, Samsung Focus S and Samsung Focus Flash, as USAtoday stated.
