Suez Canal Axis Development to spur Leasing Sector’s Growth

The Suez Canal Axis Development Project will enormously contribute in leasing sector’s growth as well as Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), Chairman of Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) Sherif Samy said Wednesday.

The top official stated that EFSA is working on developing the country’s leasing sector by training its staff, increasing the awareness about the importance of sector and upgrading its legislative structure.

Samy further added that Egyptian leasing sector reached around 9.9 billion Egyptian pounds in 2015 compared to 7 billion Egyptian pounds in 2014, registering 200% increase.
