A German delegation of businessmen, companies and business associations’ representatives is to arrive to Cairo Monday for a four-day visit to explore investments opportunities in Egypt.
The delegation will take part in the Egyptian-German Business Forum organized by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, which is presided by Ahmed El Wakil. A number of the Egyptian ministers will participate in the forum along with Ahmed Elsewedy – Head of Federation of Egyptian Industries; and the German Ambassador to Cairo Hansjörg Haber.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad Saturday, Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi – Secretary General of the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce – said the German delegation will encompass 40 German businessmen and companies’ representatives, in sectors of industry, trade, transportation, and logistics. It will be headed by Peter Ramsauer, a former German Minister of Transport, Building and Urban Development.
The four-day visit aims at exploring opportunities for economic cooperation between Egypt and German in the upcoming phase, particularly in new projects announced by the Egyptian government, Al-Mikhlafi added.
Moreover, the German delegation is set to visit sites of the New Suez Canal and East Port Said port, to get to know the promising investment opportunities in sectors of industry and logistics.
