More Than 4000 Toyota Fortuners Recalled On Shaft Issues

Al Futtaim Motors said it has started a service campaign for 4,109 Toyota Fortuners of 2006, 2007 and 2008 model year to fix the rear propeller shaft.

Simon Frith, Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Motors, said, “Following communication with Toyota Motor Corporation, we have begun a service campaign on 4109 units of 2006 – 2008 year model Fortuner vehicles. Toyota Motor Corporation has informed us that in some of these vehicles the rear propeller shaft installation will require inspection and may require minor adjustment to ensure optimal performance.”

The company has started contacting customers directly for an appointment at its service centers.
