President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and CEO of Rosatom Atomic Energy Corporation of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko met on Monday 19/10/2015 to discuss the technical and financial aspects concerning an offer to establish a nuclear station in Dabaa area.
During the meeting, Sisi highlighted the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
He added that Egypt is giving great intention to the importance of providing more power for citizens and new investments and projects.
Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Russian Ambassador to Egypt and a number of Russian officials have attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, Kiriyenko asserted his company’s keenness to follow up talks with the Egyptians concerning the project.
Dabaa reactor will be established over seven years to end in 2022.
