Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi met Monday with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the G20 Summit that takes place in Chinese city Hangzhou.
Egyptian presidency spokesman Alaa Youssef stated Monday that both leaders discussed a number of issues related to the bilateral relations notably resuming Russian flights to Egypt.
Sisi and Putin agreed on sending Russian high-ranking mission to Egypt within days to finish all technical and security issues related to resuming flights, Youssef noted.
During the meeting, the Russian president asserted that Russia pays great attentions to deepen strong historic relations with Egypt in all fields as the bilateral cooperation witnessed an improvement within the last two years.
Putin also welcomed the important projects in which two states cooperate to execute in Egypt notably Dab’aa nuclear plant project as well as the project of establishing Russian industrial zone, the spokesman pointed out .
