Egyptian supply ministry is set to pump 50,000 tonnes of sugar through its mobile vehicles in all Egyptian governorates starting from today.
In a press release issued Saturday, Supply Minister Mohamed Ali Al-Shikh stated that pumping more amounts of sugar comes to secure citizens’ needs in all state’s governorates.
He asserted that this step comes in line with injecting massive amounts of sugar in consumer complexes and outlets affiliated to the ministry, i.e. 4,400 outlets and complexes in all governorates.
The ministry agreed with a number of commercial chains to sell sugar at the price of 5 Egyptian pounds per kilo, the minister clarified.
Early October, Egyptian supply minister issued a tender to purchase 50,000 tonnes of sugar.
