Around 102 Egyptian firms working in food industries and agricultural crops sectors are set to take part in Sial Paris 2016 that would kick off on October 16 until October, 2016.
Head of Egyptian Food Export Council (FEC), Hani Berzi stated Friday that the participation of the 102 firms comes among plans of trade ministry and the FEC to boost food sector exports that are estimated at US$2 billion.
The official asserted that investors of food industries sector keen on enhancing local economy through pumping more new investments to hike capacities, accordingly, raising exports volume and providing more hard currencies.
Berzi clarified that the council produced a brochure including all information about Egyptian food industries sector as well as the development of sector’s exports to be provided for food industries importers at Sial Paris 2016.
The council plans to invite key players at food industries sector in order to obtain a number of export contracts during Sial Paris 2016, the chairperson said.
Sial Paris takes place every two years to be world’s benchmark for players in the food, retail and hospitality sectors, bringing key producers and buyers together with a focus on the world’s major challenges.
Sial Paris 2016 would be held with the participation of 7,000 exhibitors from 105 countries, representing 21 product sectors and expected to receive 155,000 visitors.
